Blogs Are New Means of Viral Marketing

What do I see these days? Gossips found a new medium to travel – the Web world.

Social media is increasing its popularity each and every day. And they have allowed word of mouth sales and gossips to go electronic through computers and all other devices from where you can access your Internet.

Blog-o-sphere as essential for online freaks as atmosphere is to living things (may be this is too exaggerating comparison; but it is a fact). Let’s see how these blogs help some product to sell well.

Annie is a regular blogger as well as a shopaholic. She was successful in making some fans for her blogs by writing on all those silly things she used to buy everyday. I don’t know what made her fans read her blogs everyday. And one day she bought a newly launched snack packet. She liked its taste so much. Nothing could stop her from blogging on it. She mentioned its name along with the address where it was sold. The next day when she went to buy more, the retailer was out of stock. There were plenty of comments for that particular blog on the snack.

The drawback here is that she couldn’t prove the company that she hiked their sales. Poor girl!

Prepare Jell-O Food on Your Own

Jell-o is the most popular food in America. For preparing the jell-o food the ingredients required are gelatin, water, sugar and food coloring. First you should pour the gelatin in bowl and add boiled water to it until it gets dissolved. Refrigerate until it cools. It takes maximum four hours to cool, but overnight refrigeration is not recommended.

Use unflavored gelatin. Mix the liquids in the same quantity as you add for the cocktail recipe and then add it to the gelatin mixture. The gelatin which is present in jell-o is produced from a collagen in cow or pig. So to remove the collagen you should pre-treat the gelatin with strong acids or strong base. After pre-treating is completed boil the resultant gelatin.

It is very easy to prepare and it doesn’t take much time to prepare jell-o food. This is a delicious food. You can add different flavors to this Jell-O food.

Tumbling Oil Prices - Good or Bad?

I wouldn’t have believed it if it didn’t happen right now. How the mighty Oil that ruled the world’s stock markets with its prices, are at so poor condition now!

Oil to $40 per barrel! Did anyone expect this thing five months back? The prices were soaring as if oil will out beat gold in terms of prices. I thought that one day people will stop buying those precious metals and start investing on oil. Though it seems fantasy, I thought that one day there would be even special banks for oil.

If we take a look at the condition now, people are even expecting oil to fall as low as $1 per gallon. But what good is it if it doesn’t beneficial for at least some kind of people.

Let’s analyze…..

People didn’t stop using oil carelessly in spite of soaring prices. And it resulted in global warming. And as we see now, people are not interested to spend much on their cars even the oil prices are so less. This is really a contrast situation.

It is hard to analyze.....

But the rapid fall in oil prices has one thing obviously bad in its side. It is an indication of the worst times going on with economy now.

Funny Style of North American Cow Herders

Do you know that the basic theme of fashion is style? The popularity of a fashion depends upon its style.

People are so vigorous about keeping track of changing fashion that they are ready to do anything for it.

So, now let’s talk about a fashion that has evolved from some cow herders and grew to be very popular world wide. Cowboys as we call those people with strange appearance and non-sense gadgets that shouldn’t be with animal herders.

Cowboys are not what we see on movies. I am sure it is movies that made them so popular. But in fact, cowboys are a group of cattle rearing guys. They don’t fight with their fellow cowboys for weird reasons like most movies show.

They used to have silly guns to scare wild animals away from their cattle. So, they are not as harmful to kill a person as in movies.

Joy of Giving Others

It is not just money that you donate to feel joy. It can be a piece of advice, a good suggestion, a word of solace, a fill of motivation, an encouragement, a guide to some part of someone’s destination. Even a smile can do a great favor to someone in depression or irritation.

Though I cannot prove scientifically, that anything good you give to somebody comes back to you hundreds of times. All you have to do is help your fellow beings as much as you can. It must be timely and appear that you are very pleasant on helping the person that time. Even if you are not able to help, it is wise thing to give a simple apology and escape from the situation.

Then you feel the joy inside you. It gives you a sensation that you are a social human being; not a social animal. It appears to you that you are worth something and not just a piece of bones and flesh roaming around in selfishness.

American Killed In Pakistan

It must be annoying Americans who are presently in Pakistan for some reason. With the increased violence levels recently due to serial attacks on Islam militants, it is been unsafe for any foreigner in Pakistan at present. Situations are worst in the north western areas where Pakistan shares its border with Afghanistan. This is the very place where US is continuing its missile attacks in suspicion of Militant hide outs.

An American aid worker was shot outside his office itself by some unknown persons. His office is located around the same controversial region where attacks are going on.

He is identified as Steve Vance, an American aid worker who has been visiting Pakistan to improve infrastructure and basic facility levels for rural regions of Pakistan. He has been living in Peshawar with his wife and five children.

It is the same place where three American officials survived an ambush on their vehicle, in August.

Necrophobia - Deadlier Than Death Itself

It is worst living in a fear of death. Everyone is going to die someday and I am sure nobody wants to die. But what is it worth living in fear of death and wasting present precious life.

Everyone should a healthy fear against something. It is appreciable. It helps people to live within limits. I believe it is some fear which is the major factor behind social life of billions of humans. And death is the major fear of all of those. It is this fear that helped humans to evolve as nature’s most wise living beings.

But when this fear crosses limits it is disastrous. People suffering from Necrophobia are seen living in panic for every minute and every movement. It is easy to die at once live dying every movement in fear of death.

If you are suffering from such phobia, it is positive thoughts that can help you come out of your fear. Avoid staying alone always. Mingle with pleasing people and learn what they do to motivate themselves.

A 90-Year Old Found Living with Dead Bodies

It was shocking for her neighbors when they found bodies of three siblings in her house. She is an old woman of 90 years, with good living record among the society. It was only In Friday morning when three bodies were revealed from her home.

The old-woman was well liked by her neighbors. She was good old lady with liking for gardening. She also shared her plants with her neighbors very often; but never allowed anyone inside her house. She was said to be always alert and aware to make sure nobody entered her house by mistake.

A police official says that all of them seemed to die for natural causes but may take time to determine the reason as the death seemed to occur long time ago. One of the dead was seen alive in 1980s. This is really so long and I wonder how such old woman could live with those dead bodies since so many years.

She was sent to hospital for observation but without revealing her identity.

What makes icky roaches more destructive?

I hate this species very much as many of us do. We call them cockroaches. I don’t know how cockroaches harm us, but these are very unpleasant to look at. To figure out why we hate cockroaches, though they are not so disgusting to look at; it must be our parents and elders who created an icky feeling on them.

Coming to why we must avoid cockroaches, they create many nuisances that destroy the pleasantness of our daily chores. They can make our favorite room stink. They can carry disease causing microbes along with them. Though these are small reasons, the big reason is that a cockroach can reproduce 300-400 cockroaches in its life time. And with increase in their number, they can change their living style, and start attacking on humans directly. This is not a very good thing because these are most common household pests.

They can live without food and water for 3 months, and around 4 weeks without their head. Some can live around 45 minutes without air, and most of all they can even survive a nuclear attack.

An Organization to Support Disabled People

I came across Aisling Foundation when I was surfing online. It is good to find an organization that is established to support disabled people.

Caroline Casey was the founder of Aisling Foundation but now every one recognizes this foundation as Kanchi. This organization is established in June 2000, by a visually impaired social entrepreneur, this initiative was involved while embarking 1000km trek across India on elephant named kanchi by Caroline. The team including Caroline, thought kanchi would be appropriate name for the foundation because kanchi was a symbol of change, vision, possibility, attitude of looking things differently with individual potential. So in 2008 they renamed the foundation as Kanchi.

This foundation enhances the relationship between the disabled people and society. Kanchi has been pioneering in decision making and influences social entrepreneurship's and other organizations who works with media leadership. This foundation works for encouraging social entrepreneurs, working for the betterment of society and for the betterment of disabled persons and many more.

This foundation started O2 ability awards in 2004, for encouraging the business entrepreneurs and organization that have achieved their goals by improving the efficiency of disabled employees. This foundation creates new programs to continue the inspiration for those who have changed attitude and behaviors of disabled people in society.

Effective Marketing with Superior Marketing Strategy

Marketing strategy is an important component of marketing management. It is generally the next step after analyzing about consumers, competitors and the current position of their business. Just like, if your firm is a leading service provider of the industry, then you have to make sure you are taking necessary steps to retain the position. Deciding the specific objectives, market share, long-term profitability, etc. all comes under an effective marketing strategy. It is a complex process and thus many small businesses tend towards professional marketing consulting services to have a reliable and efficient marketing strategy.

Marketing strategy is said to be effective when it achieves competent goals like market positioning of a product or a brand, and achieving a leading position compared to its competitors’ product or brand. Competitors are not the top positioned firms always. For a SME its competitor will be like another SME following almost same marketing concept.

The Kind Hearts Of Celebrities

Celebrities are said to have a great life style. They have lots of money, power and most of all their fans, around them. Living the life in a celebrity is a dream for every common man. They may have only one trouble that they can’t enjoy their privacy; and also that they won’t succeed in maintaining their life in secret. There are some places where they are worshipped as demi-gods. But using such a life for good causes is what makes them successful as a human being. There are many such good celebrities for us who never hesitate to show their generosity when needed. We must say that they have such kind hearts and are so philanthropic-minded that makes their fans feel very proud of them.

I’ll start the list with our dear Bill Gates who left his $58 billion fortune to charities. Then there are the Brad Pitt-couple who have been very generous in donating more than $8 million to charity in 2006 alone. There are many celebrities who raise funds by conducting interesting shows to raise funds apart from donating huge amounts from own pockets.

When you say that you are a fan of some celebrity, I suggest you to consider their generosity too…It helps us building up a great character ourselves.

We Can Make Drawing a Cool Hobby

Hobbies are the refreshing things for a day-by-day routine life. Everyone must have a hobby so that they don’t feel that their life is boring and get fed up with themselves. Hobbies strike many people as trivial or boring, hobbyists have found something compelling and entertaining about them. Now what types of hobbies do people have in general? It varies depending upon their talent, skill, environment they live in, and affordability. Wealthy people can have hobbies like collecting stamps, currencies, watches, cars, and even air crafts. What not you can collect when you have money. But I am a small common man; so I keep my self to small affordable hobbies. My hobby is drawing; not just because it is affordable but also it is interesting if you maintain it in a good way. I am not talking about talking a set of brushes; colors and a canvas to a hill station and sit there staring at the nature. Well, as far as I know, it is called painting. Drawing is not such messy. All you need to have a plain paper and a pencil. I also keep drawing in ruled papers and also with a pen. So drawing is a very simple art. So just start your leisure time today with a pencil and paper. Sit down calmly and try scribbling on paper whatever you can think of.

It Is Not That Difficult To Manage Career and Kids

On the days when she travels from one place to another to her office, my friend Mary barely sees her 3 year old daughter Samantha. And that means she can dress Samantha Alexandra in the morning and pick her up from her in-laws - the child's daytime caregivers - at 5 p.m., leaving plenty of time for dinner and playtime together. Years ago, many working moms wouldn't have thought of asking to go part-time, work from home or some other flexible arrangement. Making it in the working world meant 40-hour work weeks or more - sometimes much more. But moms like Mary are looking to change the playbook as they seek more time with their kids, and employers are responding. Compressed work weeks, job sharing and telecommuting are all part of the new mix, although many employers have yet to relax their grip on their staff, and many women say anything short of a full-time commitment hurts their chances for top salaries and titles.

Ernst & Young's director of flexibility and gender equality strategy Billie Williamson said that…

“We're playing in a global economy and there is a demand for talent,”

Still, many mothers hesitate to take advantage. ¼th of women in a Center for Work-Life Policy survey said they worry they could hurt their careers by asking for flexibility.

On the edge I would like to say is there can be a balance between career and kids, if and only if the mothers try to manage their working hours and spend time with their kids.

Dog Feeding Tips

Each of us who have pets at home would like them to be healthy and happy. One of the main factors that are essential for animal health is correct for feeding pets. Dogs are especially sensitive to their diet. We consider our pets to be a part of our family and we take care of them as one of our family members. However, this does not help us to understand clearly what kind of nutrition they need. There are many pet food companies on the market that promote their products as the best food for pets. We must be cautious in choosing the right food for our beloved pets. All pet food companies try to make their products with simple, but it is important to give our pets a more complete. Most pet food you get on the market today does not provide all the nutrients our pets need. They often emphasize one aspect of food while ignoring other aspects which makes it an incomplete diet.

Besides, our pets would like the taste of foods we select. They can be as choosy as human beings and can be equally demanding. Also, before you store any food for pets, be sure to try small sample packages with your pet. Otherwise you will end up with your store full of pet food your pets will not eat. Sometimes, animals prefer homemade food for artificial feeding. Fresh Food was always a sweet flavor and inviting. Pets often feel too artificial food as long as human beings. So the only solution in such a situation is to feed your pets with food home. Most Americans own pets who love their pets, but they do not have as much time as they love them. Thus, food house May not be an ideal option for everyone.

The other option closer than you have to do is natural for pet food such as Flint River Ranch of pet food for dogs and cats. This is the closest to other hospitality prepared foods. Flint River Ranch pet food is delivered to your door steps without any additional charges. They are supplied fresh within 30 days of manufacture. Life Supporting Minerals in the Martian Soil

NASA scientists have made an astonishing discovery when the soil samples from Mars appeared to have the essential minerals needed to support life. According to the scientists working on the Phoenix Mars Lander Mission, the first test results from the wet chemistry show that the Martian soil contains large amount of alkaline. Sam Kounaves, the lead investigator for the wet chemistry laboratory, says that 1 cubic meter of soil taken from about 1 inch below the surface of Mars, contains pH or alkaline level between 8 and 9. This type of alkaline rich soil is considered best for the growth of Asparagus, green beans and turnips.

The scientists are thus satisfied that there's nothing about the soil which would slow down life on Mars and it’s also non-toxic. But they are still not affirmative whether there was life on Mars, as the results are very preliminary. This new discovery has made the scientists more optimistic about setting up a human environment on Mars someday. But before that, NASA plans to send robots to Mars for building the infrastructure of the habitat and extracting usable water from the ice there.

A Brief History of Stephen William Hawking

Stephen William Hawking was born on January 8, 1942 (Exactly 300 years after the death of Galileo) in Oxford, England. His parents ‘house was in north London, but during the Second World War Oxford was considered a safer place to have babies. When he was eight, his family moved to St Albans, a town located about 20 km north of London. At eleven Stephen went to St Albans School, then at University College, Oxford, his father l ‘former college. Stephen wanted to do mathematics, although his father would have preferred medicine. Mathematics was not available at University College, he is rather physical. After three years and not much work he received a first class honors degree in natural sciences.

Stephen then went to Cambridge to do research in cosmology, in the absence of a work in this area in Oxford at the time. His supervisor was Denis Sciama, although he had hoped to get Fred Hoyle who was working in Cambridge. After earning his doctorate he became the first researcher, and later on a Professorial Fellow at Gonville and Caius College. After leaving the Institute of Astronomy in 1973 Stephen came to the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics since 1979 and has held the post of Lucasian Professor of Mathematics. The President was founded in 1663 with money left in the will of Reverend Henry Lucas, who was a member of the University. It was first held by Isaac Barrow, then in 1663 by Isaac Newton.

Stephen Hawking has worked on the basic laws which govern the universe. With Roger Penrose, he showed that Einstein ’s General Theory of Relativity implied space and time have a beginning in the Big Bang and an end in black holes. These results indicated that it was necessary to unify general relativity with quantum theory, the other great scientific development of the first half of the 20th century. One consequence of such a unification it was discovered that black holes should not be completely black but emit radiation and eventually evaporate and disappear. Another conjecture is that the universe has no edge or boundary in imaginary time. This would imply that how the universe began was completely determined by the laws of science.

His numerous publications include The Large Scale Structure of Spacetime with GFR Ellis, general relativity: Einstein Centenary Survey, with W Israel, and 300 years of gravity, with W Israel. Stephen Hawking has published two books, his best-selling A Brief History of Time, and his book later, black holes and baby universe and other tests. Professor Hawking has twelve honorary doctorates, received the CBE in 1982 and made a Companion of Honour in 1989. He is the recipient of many awards, medals and prizes and is a Fellow of the Royal Society and a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences. Stephen Hawking continues to combine family life (he has three children and one grandchild), and his research in theoretical physics together with an extensive programme of travel and public lectures.

Relationship with Broker and Information on Broker Fee

If you plan on using an apartment broker, make sure the broker remembers that you are the one who's paying for brokers services, not the landlord. In order to even see an apartment, you must go through a broker, who will show you around and answer your questions. You do not deal directly with the landlord until you sign the lease. Apartment brokers have divided interests between serving the landlord, the tenant and themselves. The landlord looks forward for a responsible tenant for rent and that is as high as possible without driving tenants away. You, planned for apartment rent st louis, desire a decent apartment at a rent that is as low as possible. The broker works to get paid as soon as possible and as much as possible. Thus, the broker must find a tenant quickly, who's willing to pay for higher rent apartments.

Add to that the fact that brokers work with landlords over a long period of time and only work with the tenant until the lease is signed. Maintaining a strong relationship with the landlord is important to brokers. All of this means that if you're not assertive, brokers may focus their attention on other tenants, show you apartments that are just slightly higher than your maximum rent or pressure you into signing the lease by giving an apartment more credit than it deserves.

Brokers Fees
If you live in large cities, you may see apartments listed as fee, low-fee, or no-fee apartments. And when you do, you must pay the broker a “finder’s fee.”
  • Fee: These apartments are shown by brokers who charge a traditional fee amount, which you pay only if you sign the lease and which can range from an equivalent of one month’s rent all the way up to 15% of the yearly rent.
  • Low-Fee: Low-fee apartments are shown by brokers who charge a fee lower than the traditional broker’s rate. This fee is paid by you upon the signing of the lease.
  • No Fee: Some apartments in houston or Austin require any finder’s fee, either because you deal directly with the landlord or, more commonly, because the management company pays the broker’s fee. So, technically, there is a fee involved, but you do not have to pay it.

How To Find Alport Syndrome

Alport Syndrome is variable in one person to other like in some families affected males may require dialysis as early as 20 years and invariably by 31 years of age; in others, dialysis is not needed until about 40 years. Deafness is bilateral, but may be subtle in childhood. Formal audiometric studies detect some level of hearing abnormality in about 85% of affected boys by age 15 and many require hearing aids by the age of 25. About 25-30% of patients have a characteristic abnormality of the shape of the lens, as well as changes in the retina at the back of the eye. Although useful in diagnosis, these problems are not usually associated with severe loss of vision. Here are some more symptoms of Alport Syndrome:
  • Blood cells in the urine visible only under the microscope, are usually first noticed on routine checks during a routine physical examination. Red blood cells in the urine are visible with the naked eye when the child has a viral illness, such as a cold or sore throat.
  • When the kidneys stop working, renal failure occurs. If this renal failure continues, end stage renal disease results from the accumulation of toxic waste products in the body.
  • Deafness at first to high tones, develops at round about the same age as kidney failure in most patients, although some people don't get this.
  • Eyes Harmless changes can quite often be seen at the back of the eye using special tests.
  • Some patients have lenticonus, an unusual deformity of the lens of the eye.
  • Symptoms may include hearing loss, particularly sounds at high frequencies; vision problems, such as cataracts, involuntary eye movements, and abnormalities of the cornea; nerve problems, such as polyneuropathy; skin problems.
  • Although it is unusual, some patients develop nephrotic syndrome, which can cause high protein levels in the urine, low levels of a protein called albumin in the blood, and swelling, usually in the legs and/or abdomen.

Does Smoking Effect My Sleep?

Many researches are shown that cigarette smoking has been linked with a high occurrence of sleep-related complaints. However, its effects on sleep structure have not been fully examined. The main objective of this investigation was to assess the impact of cigarette smoking on sleep architecture. Sleep disturbances are a general side effect of nicotine withdrawal. Some people will sleep much more than common through this phase of cessation, while others have difficulty getting any sleep at all. If you find yourself suffering from insomnia during the first few weeks after you quit smoking, try a few of these natural remedies to ease your discomforts.

Remember, the physical withdrawal phase of quitting tobacco is a temporary condition. Your sleep patterns will return to normal soon, providing you didn’t have insomnia before cessation. Smokers spend more time in a light sleep. Non-smokers spend more time in a deep sleep, allowing them to feel more awaken the next day. A reason for this is nicotine and its impact on the brain. Smoking cigarettes impairs sleep quality, possibly because of nicotine withdrawal, according to a study in the February issue of Chest, the journal of the American College of Chest Physicians. The study is among the first to isolate the effects of smoking on sleep.

Cigarettes contain nicotine that affects sleep. It is a stimulant that keeps you awake. But smokers are not aware of this fact. Rather they claim that a puff of cigarette smoke makes them feel calmer and helps them relax. On the contrary, nicotine stimulates the mind and the body. It interferes with the body’s ability to fall and stay asleep. Nicotine is a stimulant drug that once it wore off threw the smoker into a physiologically depressed state. The availability of objective data on sleep architecture, with self-reported information on smoking status, provides an opportunity to characterize sleep structure among current, former, and never smokers in a large community-based sample.

Strong AI

Strong AI is artificial intelligence that matches or exceeds human intelligence—the intelligence of a machine that can successfully perform any intellectual task that a human being can. It is a primary goal of artificial intelligence research and an important topic for anyone interested in the future, such as science fiction writers and futurists. Strong AI is also referred to as "artificial general intelligence" or as the ability to perform "general intelligent action". Strong AI is also closely related to such traits as sentience, sapience, self-awareness and consciousness.

Some references emphasize a distinction between strong AI and "applied AI": the use of software to study or accomplish specific problem solving or reasoning tasks that do not encompass the full range of human cognitive abilities. The term "strong AI" was adopted from the name of an argument in the philosophy of artificial intelligence first identified by John Searle as part of his Chinese room argument in 1980. He wanted to distinguish between two different hypotheses about artificial intelligence:
  • An artificial intelligence system can think and have a mind.
  • An artificial intelligence system can (only) act like it thinks and has a mind.
The first one is called "the strong AI hypothesis" and the second is "the weak AI hypothesis" because the first one makes the stronger statement: it assumes something special has happened to the machine that goes beyond all its abilities that we can test. Searle referred to the "strong AI hypothesis" as "strong AI". This usage, which is fundamentally different than the subject of this article, is common in academic AI research and textbooks.

The term "strong AI" is now used to describe any artificial intelligence system that acts like it has a mind, regardless of whether a philosopher would be able to determine if it actually has a mind or not. As Russell and Norvig write: "Most AI researchers take the weak AI hypothesis for granted, and don't care about the strong AI hypothesis." AI researchers are interested in a related statement: “An artificial intelligence system can think as well or better than people do”.

Quit Smoking Guidelines

Majority of the smokers are afraid that they can’t quit, that cigarettes are more powerful than they are. Actually this is fear from the fear, because if you are still smoking, how can you know that it’s hard without cigarettes. Whenever you are deciding to quit smoking first thing you have to do is to hate that you’re controlled. Finally you can’t stop smoking without thinking and trying to execute a non-smoker habit. Here are some guidelines which are helpful for you to quit smoking habit.

  • If you can hold out without smoking for only one minute, don’t you think that you can do it in the next minute? Sure you can. You should battle the desire by the minute. It is a much shorter time period to fight your battle and win.
  • Your first trigger occurs at a point where the body is trained to enjoy a cigarette along with a drink or after a meal, etc. These triggers will last for a maximum of 5 minutes. During these 5 minutes your entire body will induce you that it is okay to light a cigarette, which you have reason and it will come up with so many excuses that it will be hard for you to say no.
  • Second, as I mentioned in the secret for becoming a non-smoker, you should not involve yourself in your personal fight with the habit. You can’t win your habit in this way, because there will be a period when you’re feeling “down” and that will be a good enough reason for lighting a cigarette.
  • You should also be conscious that you’ll be very confused in the first 3 days and this is normal and you should accept it. This is the period where your brain is forcing you to light a cigarette and attempts to convince you with what may seem “reasonable” excuses. Since you programmed your brain to feel pleasure whenever you light a cigarette, it is now telling you that something might be wrong without a cigarette or that something might be missing from your life.

So follow these tips when only you have the will power to quit cigarettes with out have willingness you can’t quit it until you die.

All about Investment Management

Investment management is the specialized management of various securities (shares, bonds etc) assets (e.g. real estate), to meet particular investment goals for the benefit of the investors. Investors may be institutions (insurance companies, pension funds, corporations etc.) or private investors (both directly via investment contracts and more generally via collective investment schemes e.g. mutual funds). The term asset management is often used to refer to the investment management of collective investments, whilst the more generic fund management may refer to all forms of institutional investment as well as investment management for private investors. Investment managers who concentrate in advisory or discretionary management on behalf of private investors may often refer to their services as wealth management or portfolio management often within the context of so-called “private banking”.

The provision of investment management services includes fundamentals of financial analysis, asset selection, stock selection, plan execution and ongoing monitoring of investments. Investment management is a large and vital global industry in its own right responsible for caretaking of trillions of dollars, euro, pounds and yen. Coming under the remit of financial services many of the world’s biggest companies are at least in part investment managers and employ millions of staff and create billions in revenue. Fund manager refers to both a firm that provides investment management services and an individual who directs “fund management” decisions.

Principles Of Corporate Governance

Key elements of good quality corporate governance principles include honesty, trust and integrity, openness, performance orientation, responsibility and accountability, mutual respect, and commitment to the organization.

Commonly accepted principles of corporate governance include:
  • Rights and equitable treatment of shareholders: Organizations should respect the rights of shareholders and help shareholders to exercise those rights. They can help shareholders exercise their rights by efficiently communicating information that is comprehensible and accessible and encouraging shareholders to participate in general meetings.
  • Interests of other stakeholders: Organizations should recognize that they have legal and other obligations to all legitimate stakeholders.
  • Role and responsibilities of the board: The board needs a range of skills and understanding to be able to deal with various business issues and have the ability to review and challenge management performance. It needs to be of adequate size and have an appropriate level of promise to fulfill its responsibilities and duties. There are issues about the appropriate mix of executive and non-executive directors. The key roles of chairperson and CEO should not be held by the same person.
  • Integrity and ethical behavior: Ethical and responsible decision making is not only significant for public relations, but it is also a essential element in risk management and avoiding lawsuits. Organizations should develop a code of conduct for their directors and executives that promotes ethical and responsible decision making. It is significant to understand, though, that reliance by a company on the integrity and ethics of individuals is bound to eventual failure. Because of this, many organizations establish Compliance and Ethics Programs to minimize the risk that the firm steps outside of ethical and legal boundaries.
  • Disclosure and transparency: Organizations should clarify and make publicly known the roles and responsibilities of board and management to offer shareholders with a level of responsibility. They should also implement procedures to independently verify and safeguard the integrity of the company's financial reporting. Disclosure of material matters concerning the organization should be timely and balanced to ensure that all investors have access to clear, factual information.

Wage Slavery

Wage slavery is a term first coined by the Lowell Mill Girls in 1836, though articulated in concept as early as 1763 and elaborated on by various subsequent thinkers. “Wage slavery is the state where you are unable to perceive choices and create courses of action different from the grind of the job”. It refers to the similarities between buying and renting a person, and denotes a hierarchical social condition in which a person chooses a job but only within a coerced set of choices (primarily working for a boss under threat of poverty or starvation), which make that "person dependent on wages or a salary for a livelihood, "especially with total and immediate dependency on the income derived from “wage labor”. Wage slavery, in the pervasive socialist and anarchist usage of the term, is often understood as the absence of the following aspects
  • Democratic or non-hierarchical worker's control of the workplace and the economy as a whole.
  • Unconditional access to a fair share of the basic necessities of life, and
  • The ability of persons to have say over economic decisions in proportion to the degree they are affected by those decisions.
In terms used by some critics of capitalism, statism and various authoritarian systems --particularly anarchists-- wage slavery is the condition where a person must sell his or her labor power, submitting to the authority of an employer in order to prosper or merely to subsist.

The Hunting in general

Hunting is the practice of pursuing animals for food, recreation, and trade or for their resources. In modern use, the term refers to regulated and legal hunting, as distinguished from poaching, which is the killing, trapping or capture of animals contrary to law. Hunted animals are referred to as game animals, and are usually large, or small mammals, migratory game birds, or non-migratory game birds such as Bobwhite Quail.

By definition, hunting strictly speaking, excludes the killing - though similar techniques may be used - of individual protected animals, such as bears, which have become dangerous to humans, as well as the killing of non-game animals, domestic animals, or vermin as a means of pest control.

Hunting can be a necessary component of modern wildlife management, for example to help maintain a population of healthy animals within an environment's ecological carrying capacity when natural checks such as predators are absent. In the United States, wildlife managers are frequently part of hunting regulatory and licensing bodies, where they help to set rules on the number, manner and conditions in which game may be selected for harvesting.

The pursuit, capture and release, or capture to eat of fish is called fishing, which is not commonly categorized as a kind of hunting, although many hunters may also fish. Trapping is also usually considered a separate activity. Neither is it considered hunting to pursue animals without intent to take them, as in wildlife photography or bird watching. The practice of hunting for plants or mushrooms is a colloquial term for gathering.

Digital photography

Digital photography, as opposed to film photography, uses electronic devices to record and capture the image as binary data. As such, the images can be displayed, printed, stored, manipulated, transmitted and archived using various kinds of digital technology, including personal computers and the Internet. On the digital camera itself it is possible to view the recorded images immediately and to delete the ones not wanted.

Digital cameras now outsell film cameras and include features that are not found in film cameras such as the capacity to store many more images on a memory device than on a roll of film, the ability to record video with sound and functions to automatically and manually make edits to images and even delete images. Digital cameras in various forms are now found a great number of devices ranging from PDAs and mobile phones to vehicles through and even in space on the Hubble Space Telescope.

Multi-Functionality and Connectivity
Except for some linear array type of cameras at the highest-end and simple web cams at the lowest-end, a digital memory device (usually flash memory; floppy disks and CD-RWs are less common) is usually used for storing images, which may then be transferred to a computer later. Digital cameras can take pictures and sometimes additionally record sound and video. Some can be used as web cams, some can use the PictBridge standard to connect to a printer without using a computer, and some can display pictures directly on a television set. Similarly, many camcorders can take still photographs, and store them on videotape or on flash memory cards.

Theory of Acupuncture

Acupoints used in treatment may or may not be in the same area of the body as the targeted symptom. The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory for the selection of such points and their effectiveness is that they work by stimulating the meridian system to bring about relief by rebalancing yin, yang and qi. This theory of Acupuncture is based on the paradigm of TCM and has no analogue in western medicine.

Body acupoints are generally located using a measurement unit, called the cun that is calibrated according to their proportional distances from various landmark points on the body. Acupoint location usually depends on specific anatomical landmarks that can be palpated. There are nearly 400 basic acupoints recognized by the WHO on the meridians. Many of these basic points are rarely used. Some points are considered more therapeutically valuable than others, and are used very frequently for a wide array of health conditions.

Location by palpation for tenderness is also a common way of locating acupoints (see also trigger point). Points may also be located by feeling for subtle differences in temperature on the skin surface or over the skin surface, as well as changes in the tension or "stickiness" of the skin and tissue. There is no scientific proof that this method works and some practitioners disagree with the method.

Body acupoints are referred to either by their traditional name, or by the name of the meridian on which they are located, followed by a number to indicate what order the point is in on the meridian. A common point on the hand, for example, is named Hegu, and referred to as LI 4, which means that it is the fourth point on the Large Intestine meridian.

Small Apartment Living

Living in a tiny or one or two room’s apartments at the time of apartment search is an unusual or unique experience. It offers the appliance of walking from one living place to another by merely moving around one or two rooms. Such simple approach can, of class, be both a boon and a worry. On one hand, tidying upward and putting items off becomes a fast task. And preparing a snack during your favorite video plan is well accomplished.

On the other hand, living out of one or two rooms can be mentally distracting. How popular is it to have the impulse to stop email while lying in sheet, merely because the desk is in simple opinion? I'm certain it's really popular. Then there are disturbances, such as the heap of filthy dishes in the sink, that insect their manner into your thought procedure while working on a significant document, easy because the dishes are in simple view. These distractions are the bane of living in a small space apartment (living away from the tiny place). But they can be minimized, and one of the best ways to do this is to separate the spaces visually with room dividers.

Starting off with the bedroom or the office, since these are two areas where mental distractions are the most unwanted. The cheapest way to divide a room up is by arranging the furniture in a way that creates distinct spaces. Using rugs in addition to this helps create visual focal points. If your small
apartments are oddly shaped, and you are left with little choice in furniture placement, don't worry. This is where room dividers come in. The three most common room dividers are:
  • Drapes and Curtains: You can purchase drape panels or a slice of fabric and clip-on drape rings. Then fall the drape from a pole that attaches to the cap. Sheer cloth is recommended for tiny spaces, since it will permit soft to filter through. For your sheet, you can still produce a canopy.
  • Bookcases or Bookshelves: Backless, freestanding bookcase that seem pleasing from both sides take superior room dividers. And they have the added welfare of acting as warehousing or storage. Place the bookcase between two of your life spaces and spot objects that seem delight from both sides on the shelves then it will definitely adds a look to your small apartment.
  • Folding screens: Folding screens are a better selection, because they are flexible, adaptable and versatile. You can easily move them around and play with the furniture arrangement. And the one main advantage is that they don't take up much space.

Thermal Mass And Properties required for good thermal mass

Thermal mass, in the most general sense, is any material that has the capacity to store heat. The following discussion pertains to its functional application in ecologically sustainable building construction. When used correctly, it can significantly reduce the requirement for active heating and cooling systems and the consumption of active solar, renewable energy and especially fossil fuel technologies.
Ideal materials for thermal mass are those materials that have:
  • High specific heat,
  • High density
  • Low thermal conductivity.
Such materials are able to slowly store or release (low thermal conductivity), relatively large quantities of heat per unit volume (high volumetric heat capacity) compared to other materials.

Thermal mass should not be confused with insulation. Materials used for insulation typically have much lower thermal conductivity than materials used for thermal mass and generally do not have a high capacity to store heat. They can reduce unwanted heat transfer but are not significant sources of heat in themselves. Often a combination of good insulation and thermal mass is used to achieve an optimum solution.

When correctly incorporated in building construction, it can be a useful method of controlling the flow or storage of heat to maintain thermal comfort.

The historic use of thermal mass in housing has been well established in hot arid climates or warm temperate regions. In cold temperate areas, it must be combined with good passive solar design to be effective. Its use in hot, humid areas is controversial.

Many building contain 'incidental' thermal mass e.g. timber frame, plasterboard and furniture. Specific materials that are used to increase thermal mass include clay brick, mud brick, stabilized or rammed earth, stone, concrete and water.
