An Organization to Support Disabled People

I came across Aisling Foundation when I was surfing online. It is good to find an organization that is established to support disabled people.

Caroline Casey was the founder of Aisling Foundation but now every one recognizes this foundation as Kanchi. This organization is established in June 2000, by a visually impaired social entrepreneur, this initiative was involved while embarking 1000km trek across India on elephant named kanchi by Caroline. The team including Caroline, thought kanchi would be appropriate name for the foundation because kanchi was a symbol of change, vision, possibility, attitude of looking things differently with individual potential. So in 2008 they renamed the foundation as Kanchi.

This foundation enhances the relationship between the disabled people and society. Kanchi has been pioneering in decision making and influences social entrepreneurship's and other organizations who works with media leadership. This foundation works for encouraging social entrepreneurs, working for the betterment of society and for the betterment of disabled persons and many more.

This foundation started O2 ability awards in 2004, for encouraging the business entrepreneurs and organization that have achieved their goals by improving the efficiency of disabled employees. This foundation creates new programs to continue the inspiration for those who have changed attitude and behaviors of disabled people in society.
