Taxpayers Don't Claim Tax Relief worth $280m

The charity and fund raising has declined with the economic turmoil.

Amid such gloomy environment, I don’t understand how to respond to this news which says that people don’t know or not interested in claiming tax relieves for their charity. According to a study, the higher rate taxpayers, who can claim back the extra 20 percent, are not doing that. Thus, they are leaving a hefty amount of $280 millions (£200 m) unclaimed.

It is the complex process of Self-assessment forms and all that stuff keeping them away from claiming back. So it is high time for the charities to start awareness programs regarding this tax claiming process so that they can drive themselves out of tough times easily.

Not only high tax payers, health professionals like Nurses, doctors and all other professionals who come under health sector are eligible to claim tax relieves on their expenses related to their work.
