Christmas Appeals Show Mixed Results

Recession hits charities very hard. They showed mixed results in terms of funds rising.

According to a survey, it was found that 34 percent of the charities raised less funds compared to that of the funds raised in previous year.

It also said that 29 percent of them could raise the same amount of funds as they did the previous year. The other 29 percent were successful in raising more funds than that of the funds raised the previous year.

This is not as bad as what is going on with many of the sectors during recent times.

In another survey, it was said that younger people are trying to increase their donations while older ones are trying to cut theirs.

The CEO of the loF, a charity organization, said that the overall results are positive. The success behind a good fund rising will depend on the approach of the charities towards people.

The example of the BBC raising one million pounds in donations, serves as the best example for this.
