Basic Types of Cloth Dryers

Cloth dryer is a major home appliance which is used to remove the moisture from the clothes or any textiles after they are cleaned in a washing machine. A cloth dryer works by having a rotating drum through which heated is circulated and the moisture from the clothes is evaporated. The modern dryers are coming with new features like sensors and settings that protect clothes from high heat and these dryers are more energy efficient. They can even produce wrinkle free clothes. Most of the modern cloth dryers are stylish, colorful and comes in different sizes. Here are the basic types of cloth dryers which are useful for many households:

Electric Dryers:
These dryers work by consuming electricity and these use a 240 volt electrical connection and the features of this dryer depends on the model you select.

Space Saving:
Space saving dryers are smaller units that are often stacked on top of compatible washing machines and these have less capacity than the full sized dryers.

Gas Dryers:
Gas dryers require a 240 volt electrical connection for the controls and ignition of the heater core, gas is used to power the heating core and requires a gas connection near the dryer. The efficiency standards and the relative price for gas dryers depends on the operating costs.

Steam Dryers:
Steam dryers are powered by gas and electric models, the benefit of this dryers when compared to others is that, the higher temperature of steam can kill germs and bacteria. Applying steam at certain points of the drying cycle can reduce wrinkles.
