Basic Facts About Pain

Pain is defined as an unpleasant, emotional and worst experience associated with the tissue damage. There are two categories of the pain:
  • Acute pain – This is a kind of temporary pain, which affect for only short period of time.
  • Chronic pain – This type of pain ranges from mild to severe condition. It can last for weeks, months, and years or for lifetime. It affects the person in many way was:
  • Physically – feeling of discomfort
  • Emotionally – Feeling of hopelessness
  • Psychologically – feeling of depression
  • Socially – feeling to descend into isolation
  • Occupationally – easy task will become difficult to perform

It is a major health problem and its effect can vary from person to person. It includes:
  • Inflammation
  • Muscles strain
  • Nerve damage
  • Fatigue

There is a basic cycle of pain system:
  • Health problem results to stress
  • Stress results into muscles tension
  • Finally, muscles tension results into pain
