Discovery Sets To Space

The legendary space shuttle – Discovery finally took off to space on 15th March. There were some conflicts in its take off, which were taken care by the NASA.

The Discovery space shuttle was first used in 1984. Also, this legendary shuttle, took the great Hubble telescope into the space. Discovery was off into the space with seven astronauts in it, from the Kennedy Space Station, on mission STS-119.

The crew of the space shuttle, will be installing $300 million equipment into the Space station. The equipment include fourth starboard S6, fourth set of solar arrays and batteries to the space station.

This is the 36th flight of the Discovery and is expected to serve for three more flights. Its last flight, as planned by NASA, would be in September of 2010. I wish they would keep the space shuttle in display from then on.
